Engrained Living was founded by Peter Emptage in 2007, following a rich background in graphic design and photography. Peter's passion for raw materials led him to pursue an advanced GNVQ in Furniture Design and Restoration. During this studies, he had the opportunity to work under and with direction of Pierre Woodward, specializing in traditional woodworking and timber framing. This was complemented by his subsequent experience working with Ben Rausseau, where he focused on creating commercially led bespoke design pieces for Microsoft and HMV amongst others.
